2017 SHOOT-A-THON

A Big Thank You to all of our Hawks families who supported our 8th Annual Shoot-A-Thon. This year’s FreeThrow

Champions are Arik Billings 14U, Josh Kim 13U, Dimitri Perris 12U, Mika Petrosian 11U, Tristan Tiu 10U, and Jared Bolhayon 9U. Our 3Pt Contest winners are Marvin Furuta and Jared Bolhayon. Mom & Son Free Throw Champions are Brooklyn & Jana Pasten, Dad & Son 3 Pt Champions are Dimitri & Dino Perris. Top Free Throw shooting team was our 14U Team. Congrats to all of our Champions!

STRONG FINISH

Our 14U/8th grade team concluded their careers as Hawks with a strong finish at the Thunderdome at UCSB. The guys finished out the year by going 16-1 and winning Championships in their final 3 tournaments together. They worked hard, always stuck together, and played the game the right way. They are outstanding young men and it has been a privilege to coach them. I’m excited to see them all move on to their new High School teams.

11U WIN 1st CHAMPIONSHIP

Our 11U White team took home their very first Championship at the Memorial Classic in Garden Grove. Congrats to Coach Earl and the guys. This team has only been together a short time but their hard work and dedication is beginning to pay off. Go Hawks!

HAWKS at NIKE REACT

Some of our Hawks had a blast participating in the Nike React Experience held in the South Bay over the weekend. Riley won the Half Court Challenge, Kian took 1st in the Skills Challenge, Nick won the 3PT Challenge going 5/10 from the 3PT line. DJ also hit a Half Court Shot during the Skills Challenge. The guys were able to tryout the new Nike React Hyperdunk shoes while they were on the court. Pretty cool!

HAWKS AT NEXT LEVEL

Our Hawks teams played hard and left it all on the courts this past weekend at the Fall Classic held at Next Level in Orange County. Our highest flying team was our Hawks 13U boys who took 2nd place in the Gold Division. Way to go LA Hawks!

ALOHA CLASSIC

All 7 of our Hawks teams participated in the Aloha Classic Tournament held at the American Sports Center and MAP in OC over the October 14-15 weekend. We had 8 games decided by 1 point in both pool play and championship play. Hawks played extremely hard throughout the tournament. Thank you coaches. Great job!

THANKSGIVING TOURNEY

Our 13U Gold team competed in the Elite Showcase at Sierra Canyon HS while the rest of our boys participated in the AVAC/SNU Thanksgiving tourney in OC. Our 10U & 11U Hawks advanced to the Semi-Final round in their divisions, 14U Black and 12U played in the Championship game in the divisions, both taking 2nd place. Our 14U White team won the trophy in their bracket. In the Elite Showcase our 13U boys finished 3rd among some top level teams. Overall, the Hawks finished the weekend with a 16-12 record
